Plata is a digital payment and money transfer platform created to serve millions of Latinos in the U.S. who are often left out of the traditional banking system.

The founding team needed to build a secure, user-friendly platform that could onboard users with alternative forms of ID (like ITINs or passports), support money transfers and deposits, and integrate with trusted payment processors—without sacrificing speed, compliance, or user trust.
